Documentary: "Born Sweet"

"Born Sweet" is a short film shot in Cambodia by Academy Award Winning Director/Producer Cynthia Wade.  

The film follows the life of 15 year old Vinh Voeurn. He and many of the people in his village are dying of arsenic poisoning from wells dug in their area. It is a complicated story: the situation is heartbreaking; Vihn's hopes and his spirit make the story inspirational. 

Cynthia Wade is a filmmaker dedicated to telling stories promoting human rights and justice. I know any photo story she calls me to do with her is going to be meaningful and thought provoking.  

"Born Sweet" premiered in 2010.
